Step 5. Promote your own products on your own website. Cost: Time. Profit: Make a living.
Step 6. Build a membership site, providing excellent value and service. Provide an affiliate program that pays excellent commisions. Cost: Time and approx $100 per year. Profits: HUGE!!!!
If this sounds like a lot of work to you - you are right it is a LOT of work.
If someone suggests an easy way to do this - get suspicious.
If someone wants you to pay up front for the pleasure of selling or promoting their product - run like hell - even if they tell you that they provide a marketing website for you.

Make money Online - Writing for the Web.

For instance; Is there any difference between “Writing for the web” or writing a book?I guess that it is important to consider who your audience is; whether writing for a book, magazine, newspaper, newsletter, essay, webpage, sales letter or love letter.
As an example; if you set out to write a factual book you need to stick to the facts – include factual data from recognized sources backed up by recognized authorities. Otherwise your credibility will be lost to your audience.
Writing a love letter, no matter how sincere will not be taken seriously if the recipient does not perceive the letter to apply to them personally.
An article about camping [no matter how good] won’t be considered for submission in a fashion magazine.
News journalists writing for newspapers should not present their personal opinions. Instead their job is to report the news.
Newsletters should relate to the topic of the newsletter that people have requested.
Webpage content needs to cover the topic of the keywords by which people came to the webpage via the search engines.
Writing for Web Page Content
When setting up a web page for the public to visit ask yourself the following questions:
• Am I supplying the information that my web page advertises to deliver?
Example: You inserted the keywords “animal husbandry” in your meta tags.Therefore your content should cover “animal husbandry” – The care of animals.Your content should NOT be about what an animal your husband is – different topic altogether.
• Always think about what your visitor expects to find on your web page.Put yourself in your visitor’s shoes. After searching for a topic on the search engine, your page was selected above all the rest. This is because your page description came closest to the visitor’s inquiry. If your page content does not live up to its description your visitor will be disappointed and leave your site.
• Make your content easy to navigate and keep your pages as uncluttered as possible. Bold headings help the visitor to scan quickly to the part that interests them. If visitors don’t find what interests them quickly they are more likely to leave your site to find the information somewhere else.
Address your customers needs and wants on sales pages.
If your product can fulfil the need of your customer you are more likely to make a sale. Therefore emphasise the benefits of your product for your customer.
Example: This product XXX will ensure that you will get a good nights sleep is better than; Buy this product XXX because it’s the best, cheapest etc., in the world!
Proof read your content.
Go to the trouble and proof read your content – or get someone to proof read it for you.
Gross spelling errors, incorrect grammar and bad layouts are an insult to your readers. Remember that trust and credibility are important factors to establishing a clientele Online.
Unless your site is advertised as an Adult site.
Keep your language clean – make sure that your content is suitable for family viewing.

To Make Money Online you need a Web presence in the form of a Web Site.
You can not get around it. A ready made website supplied by a company to promote to is a very handy tool. However you never own that website and whilst you may make money promoting that site you are promoting someone else's business. Should that business fold for any reason you are left with nothing.

Make Money Online - Recruiting
With the advent of the Internet and all the new
communication means that it affords,
Network Marketing has come a long way from the home
meetings and house to house presentations.
Doing these presentations was very intimidating to many
people and so the recruiting chain often broke along the way.
The key here is that if the recruiting machine does not have
a system that anyone can comfortably do, it will come to a
screeching halt.
Successful Business Models all have a simple system in place
that everyone can follow.
At the same time, you must take the time to learn the system.
Teaching is surely a part of the game of building a strong team.
Some marketers make the mistake of doing too much for their down line
members thinking that if they didn’t, their recruits will leave.
This often backfires, however, because the down line members
become comfortable and depend too heavily on their up line they
never grow strong enough to build their own teams.
There is only so much you can do for someone and no more.
These spoiled over-dependent down line members can become
a liability instead of an asset to your team.
So avoid the temptation to micromanage your team;
you’ll get burnt out. Teach your team members to fish instead of fishing for them.
Network Marketers Off-Line had to learn the skills associated with Network Marketing. Internet Marketing also has a set of skills which must be learned and applied for Internet Marketing Success.
Be realistic in your expectations. To expect too much too soon will only
set you up for a possible let down. Accept that this is a legitimate business

Make Money Online - For The 95% Who Fail.
For the 95% who fail to make a good income online.
Expectations are shattered daily for people who diligently applied themselves to successfully start a home business online.
This phenomenon, although not to the same extent is reflected in the off-line world as well. For instance in my district 500 restaurants close per year. The closure of restaurants is a much higher percentage than any other business in my district.
There are however more successful restaurants in my district than anywhere else in Australia. Also a successful restaurant business in my district is a very lucrative business to be in.
Therefore we can deduce that there are more restaurant businesses started in my district every year than any other business in my district because it is the most lucrative business to be in. Financial advisors would be touting prospective investors to start a restaurant business in my district.
This in turn would tempt investors to get involved in a restaurant business even if they do not have the necessary expertise to run a restaurant. They justify their decision by stating that they will hire all the expertise they need. However the competition is too strong to carry the extra expense they have incurred through outsourcing and they ultimately fail.
So can you see how this relates to the 95% failure rate for people starting any online venture?
Let’s compare the following:
Offline: Open a restaurant in my district, proven huge business potential for you.
The Online Temptation. There is a huge home business potential for you online.
You get testimonials from people daily who proclaim [truthfully or otherwise] that they are making outrageous incomes from the comfort of their own homes.
Some even claim that if you join their proven program you will have cash rolling into your bank account 24/7 starting within 15 minutes, no selling, experience or skills necessary. We provide you with a website; we do all the selling for you. The cost to join such a program varies between about $7 to $12,000.
If you are curious, join a cheap program to see how they operate. Once you’ve failed to make any money DON’T get tempted to join the more expensive version, your outcome will be the same!
Why is it that people readily recognize that to make a professional income offline you need a professional education but think that the same is not true for online ventures?
At best you may get lucky and make a quick buck online but without Internet Marketing Expertise you will not build a solid lasting home business online.

Make Money Online: Expose Fraudsters
Today I received an anonymous comment to my "You Need Credibility" post.
This person has sensibly suggested we all post copies of these fraudulent emails, as a warning to others.
I think this is a good idea and suggest that anyone who has received these fraudulent emails that require you to send your identity details, should post them as a comment at this
blog.
Not only will this serve as a warning to others but I will point the authorities to view the details of these fraudsters here as well.
So if you have been scammed, or believe someone is attempting to scam you, post a comment outlining the details.
